Ariella’s Gofund Me- continued (surgery #3)

Ariella was recently diagnosed with Covid, she was sick and in pain and taken to fox hospital and they said that she had the virus and refused other testing for other viruses because “it has to run its course.” She was sent home and the pain and symptoms continued. On Sunday she was rushed back to the ER for a second opinion because she was screaming in pain begging me to help her and stop the pain. Once we got the blood work back the doctors told us it was something really bad but couldn’t tell us what exactly until she was seen by Albany medical center. She was rushed by ambulance and after a hour we were told they believed that her appendix had ruptured and wanted to do surgery. The surgeons not and decided that they would do the ultrasound and go from there. I would do the ultrasound they could not see if it was ruptured or not and wanted a CAT scan done. She continue to puke out black fluid and they couldn’t figure out where was coming from because she had been in the hospital for so long with nothing to eat or drink. Eventually, they realize that it had a ruptured and the fluid is filling her body and seeping into her other organs, she is currently waiting to go to surgery today to have her inside cleaned and her appendix taken out . Ariella is the sweetest funniest, most lively eight-year-old you’ll ever meet. She’s dances everywhere she goes she loves to make people laugh and right now she’s just an empty shell of herself because she’s in so much pain. Problems come in that she is an hour away with five other siblings at home and one vehicle to get back-and-forth to make this work for everybody right now. Her father is with her and I’m home with the other kids trying to get everything situated but we have to be able to get back-and-forth and in order for anybody to take the other kids while I’m up there, they need help with groceries and I need help with gas to go back-and-forth. David is the only one working I do Instacart and DoorDash but it’s not possible right now to do that with the situation going on we can’t file our taxes and get extra money that way because we don’t have our W-2s yet if anybody can help with anything, we’ll be forever. Grateful is hard enough without adding on the financial burden of making sure that we can take care of all of the kids while putting all our energy into making sure that she knows we’re there for her, and everything’s getting taken care of to heal her. I am leaving my cash app bc I know some people don’t feel comfortable paying on here. I just want to be a with her and know my. Other kids are taken care of at the same time. This is so hard and we are trying everything possible to figure this out on our own. If you can’t help can you please just share this and send her as many prayers to god as you can for a safe recovery and no more bad news. She is fighting for her life right now and it’s so unfair to her. Covid is no joke, she was a happy healthy little girl a few days ago and now she’s so tired. Covid is what caused the appendicitis and inflammation that caused the rupture and now is leaking infection throughout her body. we are still waiting on the CAT scan to see if anything else is inflamed or damaged inside of her body because of how bad the Covid is affecting her.

UPDATE :

shes going in for surgery in a hour or so. She will be most likely put into a medically induced coma to help her body heal. At minimum ventilation will be needed. I’m rushing back now.

update 2: she is going in tomorrow for her second surgery. The doctors have said that she’s fighting hard and doing better than expected and she is safe to go into surgery now. Please pray that it goes well. She is still in the coma and they said they will try to let her wake up if it goes well.

UPDATE: the second surgery went well and they were able to get the rest of the infection and close her up. Thank god!!!! And her kidney seems to have broken the blockage that was in it. She’s working on her body getting stable to remove the ventilator but she did give me some looks today♥️

April2024: please read for update.

Ariella started to complain out of no where that she was in pain in the same spots as before and we didn't understand how bc she had her appendix completely removed and two open abdominal surgeries so her saying it hurt again was shocking. We took her back to the hospital and they told us that they believed she was suffering from a impaction no being able to go to the bathroom, after running tests they all came back looking pretty concerning and she was sent back and admitted back into albany medical center. They ran their tests and found out that she was carrying a large 8x8 abcess in her abdomen but worse it was attached to her spleen and that is why her rib arm and side kept hurting. Along with that she has a cyst on her bladder and that caused a uti and bladder infection along with pneumonia from the fluid she has had in her lungs from the first surgery. She was planned to use strong antibiotics to start healing her from the inside out and they did some but the surgery didn't go as planned. From a needle and being able to suction. Out the infection to stop it before it could burst turned to another surgery to place a drain and this has extended her stay . She has a few other concerns but I'm Thankful that she's so strong and fighting to be back to herself. She hates being in the hospital. This is so shocking bc she was doing amazing and this hit out of nowhere. Thus leaving us in a hard place and having to reopen this gofund me to anyone who wishes to help but don't have cashapp or Venmo. I can not Tha k everyone enough times and she loves to read the comments. We have been extremely financially burdened this last 6 months and this isn't a pity party kt is the truth. We just got a eviction taken care of from our home and are no place for life to throw us curve balls but here we are. Tha k you to everyone who has reached out helped and shown up for her.
