Final Update #5: We lost the battle. He crossed the rainbow bridge on May 7, 2025 @ 10:15AM. He is no longer in pain or suffering. We are devastated and heartbroken but at least he is at peace. We will miss him everyday. It isn’t the same without him here.

Update #4: After getting the results from the CT Scan, we are devastated to learn that it is our worst fears, it is an aggressive late stage cancer. He has 5 tumors that surgery would not be able to remove enough to prolong his life, it would only be for comfort. We can slow the cancer with chemo hopefully, which we start tomorrow. Prognosis is now months, 6 if we are lucky. We are still going to fight, as long as he wants to fight. When the time comes that his quality of life is down, we will make the hardest decision. Until then, we will enjoy every minute we have with him and fight as hard as we can. Thank you all for the love and support. ♥️

Update #3: After more tests, we have received the news we were worried about: it is highly unlikely that it is lymphoma or a mast cell tumor, and more likely it is a most aggressive cancer. If this is the case we are now fighting for months, a year at most if we are very lucky. We are holding out hope that this which they still cannot fully diagnose, is something beatable. There is a very small chance of that being the case even if unlikely. We have a CT scan scheduled for Tuesday April 22nd that will give us a much clearer picture of what it is (est cost $4k usd).

Please send us all the good energy you can because we REALLY need it right now. We are terrified of losing our amazing little guy this soon, he is only 4. He is everything to us, he is our heart. All of your help and support means the world to us. Thank you all so much.

Update #2: After cancelling the surgery, we went in for a second opinion from an oncologist. It is most likely NOT lymphoma but it is likely a Mast Cell Tumor that is malignant. We are waiting for the results of the GIEMSA Stain Test that will likely confirm MCT. If it is, we will be going into surgery to remove his spleen and lymph node. We may need to start chemotherapy after this, we may not, just depends on how the surgery goes and how he responds.

Update: A whole bunch of experts thoroughly checked the ultrasound and the fine needle aspirate results, there are multiple types of questionable cells; large and small they cannot diagnose. We do know he has two enlarged lymph-nodes, no intestinal enlargement or striations, they need to take biopsies in surgery and possibly remove them depending what they find. So we still don’t know exactly what we are fighting against. He is in good hands at least but doesn't make us any less stressed or worried. Surgery is set for next Tuesday morning April 15th.
