We need a new library building!

In 1899, the Winslow Women’s Club founded a library in Winslow, Arizona. This early library was shuffled between small rooms and closets until 1966 when the City of Winslow set aside land for a new library building. It was determined that a new building was too costly, so the Junior Women’s Club and Whipple family purchased an old church building to house the library. In 1969, the building was opened to the public. Since that time, the Winslow Friends of the Library have been raising money to support the Winslow Public Library in the hopes of someday (hopefully in the near future) constructing a new building as originally planned by the citizens of Winslow. Please help us as we work towards that dream!
