Last Sunday (15th February), our lives were turned upside down when a sudden fire ravaged our property. In an instant, we lost everything — our shed/cabin, our belongings, and the tools and machinery that we relied on to maintain the land. Everything we’ve worked so hard for is gone.
The fire didn’t just take physical things — it took our retirement dream away as we’ve spent years working towards building it. Most devastatingly, we lost the machinery that allows us to maintain and clean the land. Without it, the work we need to do just to get back on our feet — clearing debris, preparing land, helping neighbours fix fences — is almost impossible.
We’re humbled to be asking for help. We have always offered support to others when we could, without judgement or hesitation. Now, we find ourselves in a position where we need a helping hand too whether you can financially or with items you no longer use such as and are in good condition such as water tanks, lawn mowers, tractors, tools or equipment that you are no longer using— please consider reaching out. Our water tanks were all melted in the fire, and replacing them is essential.
We’re not asking for judgment — only support in whatever way you can. Even the smallest contribution will make a difference, whether it helps us rebuild, replace essential tools, or assist our neighbour who was also affected with damaged fences.
If you are able to donate, share, or even send a message of encouragement or guidance on how to get assistance in this situation — we are grateful beyond words.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for being part of a community that stands together in times of need. ❤️
