Help Suraiya Train in Korea for Her K-pop Dream

Hi, my name is Suraiya, and I’ve been given an incredible opportunity—to attend a K-pop training camp in Korea that could be a major step toward becoming a K-pop idol!

Over the past year, I discovered K-pop dance and music, and I instantly fell in love—with the culture, the style, the language, and the way it brings people together. It changed my life in ways I never expected, and I’m so grateful it did.

For my Year 8 project, I chose to study the Korean language. After a year of learning, I’m proud to say I can now understand some Korean and even read their numerals!

On the dance side, I’ve auditioned for two programs—and I got in! I’m now preparing for an end-of-year showcase, and from there, I’ll be heading to Korea for an intensive training camp with professional dance and vocal coaches.

This is a dream I’ve held close since I first started dancing. It’s helped me become stronger, more confident, and more connected to myself. Dance is how I express what I can’t always say in words. It’s the thing that makes me feel most alive—like I’ve found something that truly understands me.
