Jacob's Obituary

If you don't know this girl, talk to her! She is an amazing soul who gives out more than she is willing to take. Brittany Marsh, AKA Sprinkles, has a heart that is huge and she is the most outstanding soul I will ever get to know. Her friendship is pure and right now, she is allowing me to help her out and to reach out to other individuals!

Her fiance, Jacob Hoke, passed away recently from cancer. He was diagnosed 7 years ago with Stage 4 Glioblastoma. Glioblastoma is a type of very aggressive brain tumor. Jacob called his tumor, "Marla", after his favorite movie, Fight Club.  A grade 4 tumor is the most aggressive and fastest-growing type. It can spread throughout your brain very quickly. This type of tumor grows very fast inside the brain. Its cells copy themselves quickly, and it has a lot of blood vessels to feed it. Glioblastoma can be hard to treat. It grows quickly, and it has finger-like projections into the normal brain that are hard to remove with surgery. There is no known cure of this type of cancer.

The life expectancy of somebody who is diagnosed with Stage 4 is 5 years, being the maximum.  Jacob fought has hard as he could, and surpassed that, living 7 years with this tumor.  He had 3 surgeries, 2 years of chemotherapy, and a year of radiation to try and dissolve this cancer as much as possible.

Brittany did everything that she could possibly do to help Jacob at his most vulnerable times. They were saving up for their wedding, to move, to continue their lives together, and both of their jobs were in jeopardy because of this horrendous cancer.

"We were supposed to move to Seattle for his job and then after his second surgery, he started to deteriorate so he couldn't do that job anymore. And then after his third surger, he lost his peripheral vision and his short term memory. He couldn't communicate. He was still smart and knew everything but his brain couldn't make him say what he wanted to say." - Brittany

"He was just the greatest person ever. Literally the perfect partner for me. And by far the best friend I ever had. Most people with his cancer only make it 5 years and he made it to 7. He was really, really strong and tough." - Brittany

If anybody deserves help or any kind of help, it is this girl right here. So if you have a couple bucks laying around and would even consider helping out a woman who recently lost her life partner, now is your chance! Brittany (Sprinkles) says she doesn't need the help, but anything could help her out. She has bills that needs to be paid, along with the chemo costs, medical costs, and her daily living.

Please, consider! I know she would just appreciate any living soul!! And even if you can’t donate, please share this so maybe you know anyone who can! Anything can help Sprinkles and I know from the bottom of her heart, she will cherish it!

Thank you
