We love Theresa! (But not medical emergencies)

My name is Monica. This fundraiser is for a friend and co-worker who would never ask for the help, yet is surrounded by a community of supporters and loved ones who only wish the best for her.

 

After many visits to specialists and emergency rooms, Theresa discovered the root of her symptoms was a uterine fibroid. While it is not cancerous, in the span of a few weeks from discovery to diagnosis, the growth in her uterus swelled to the size of a grapefruit. Its presence has caused severe anemia and fatigue and continues to grow.

 

She is scheduled for a Myomectomy, a surgical procedure to remove the growth. The procedure is invasive, where an opening is made and the growth is cut out of the uterus. There are risks involved that we hope do not come to pass.

 

Theresa will be on bed rest and out of work for about 2 months.

 

The funds will go to Theresa, her husband Chris, and their two fur babies Dodger (the sweet beagle) and Misa (the rescue cat), to help cover medical bills, living expenses, and food.

 

Theresa is the stained glass instructor of Studio 550 Art Center in Manchester, NH. You can also support her by purchasing her artwork in the shop.

 

I will create a handmade ceramic serving bowl for any donors giving $1000 or more as a thank you gift (maker's choice for design and colors).
