We Love The Shrodes!
Hello all. Two of our best friends (and probably yours), and two of the kindest, most giving people one could ever meet, have run up against some unforeseen life and financial difficulties.
After gallantly battling Crohn’s Disease for 25+ years, Denise has currently been undergoing some major physical setbacks/inconveniences, some related to Crohn’s and some not, but all requiring multiple doctor's visits and hospital stays.
Mike has been working multiple jobs, still running his small business, and trying to keep things afloat. Denise is currently having to work to help pay bills, but she has had to miss a great deal of work due to these setbacks.
On top of all of this, their current landlord has just decided not to renew the lease on the house they have lovingly lived in for nearly a decade. A house they have maintained, fixed up, and raised a family in.
This is creating an unforeseen need to uproot everything and relocate at a time when rest, serenity and calm would be the most beneficial to Denise’s constitution.
They would like to stay close to where they are now so Mike can keep his main job, but homes are at a premium in that area (as they are everywhere). We believe this help would give them a leg- up in a competitive market.
Their son Jonah just graduated from high school and is putting off HVAC school to work and assist financially with the family needs.
Denise and Mike would NEVER ask for help, and would ALWAYS be the first to give you help if you asked for it, and even if you didn't. That’s why it is important for us to come together as a community to help make this inopportune transition as painless for them as possible.
