We Love Colin!

As you may or may not know, Colin’s car was stolen on Sunday night/early Monday morning. Unfortunately, and making the situation much more painful, a large amount of his climbing gear was in the car, as well as some fishing gear. He is, of course, handling it with the grace and positivity that we all know Colin to carry himself with. However, this has definitely been a huge blow, and he now has a long road ahead of him in order to completely rebuild and restock all of his climbing gear, on top of being able to afford a “new” vehicle. For those who might not know, this gear was incredibly expensive (over $5,000 worth of equipment), and he has worked so hard for years to put this together. Not only is this his livelihood, it is his love and passion.

I wanted to reach out to his closest friends and family to see if we’d be able to help get him back on his feet, or even just provide him a small jump start towards rebuilding the things that were stolen from him. The important fact is that we are safe and that no one was harmed, but I am saddened to know that the two things Colin loves the most in the world (trees and fishing!) were affected in an instant. So, if it is within your means, I have created some portals for donation. THIS SATURDAY (June 6), I will be combining it all into one place and surprising Colin with the donations and love. I understand that this is an incredibly trying time for everyone, especially financially, and if it is not within your means, please do not feel pressured to give a dime. However, if you are able, even a $5 donation would make a difference! Think of it as a new fishing lure for his next adventure!!!

-Listen to a Phish song and dance in your pajamas, in honor of Colin!

-The next person who asks you, “How are you?” - respond with “Livin the dream!”, in honor of Colin! :)

-You get the idea. Just try to make the world a better place in your own way. :)

The important part is to not tell Colin, please!!!! He would be mad at me if he knew I was doing this, simply because he is the most selfless person I’ve ever met. But I know that he will be so incredibly grateful for anything that comes from this surprise, even if it’s $20 total. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and stay safe!!!
