We love Christopher!

We love Christopher is an understatement.  We adore Christopher is more accurate.  This man is one of integrity and perfection.  Here is Christopher's story:

"I have spoken to some of you, but not all of you about my upcoming health challenge. 

What was thought to be a back problem is actually a tumor. After having a biopsy last week, they are sure that the cancer has metastasized from my oral/neck cancer from almost two years ago. 

The bad news with that is it's not curable, and even though the PET scan is showing no cancer anywhere else, it is likely in other places and will pop up eventually. 

I am starting radiation today and have 10 sessions. After a 3 week break, I'll start the chemotherapy. The radiation will hopefully shrink the tumor in my back and give me some pain relief there. The chemotherapy will hopefully keep the cancer at bay for a bit, but the prognosis is not good. 

Since getting through the chemo will be a challenge, I have decided to relocate to Palm Springs, so that my best friend can help in any way needed. No idea what the future holds for next year. I can only take this one day at a time.

I refuse to be sad. I refuse to be scared. I refuse to be mad. None of that will help my cause."

Christopher has been a beloved teacher at Hillcrest Middle School in Sebastopol for the last five years.  His last day of work will be December 20, 2016.   

Let's raise as much money as possible for Christopher so he can rest and heal during his treatment without a financial care in the world.  This man means the world to our academic community and it is time to show him how much we adore him.  He has given so much to his students, their families, and his fellow teachers and it is time to give back.
