After much consideration and discussion, we have decided to start a GoFundMe page for Carmen and Preston, in hopes of relieving some of the financial burden that has occurred since Carmen has been hospitalized. Every little bit contributed will help. We truly appreciate everything our extended friends and family does in support of our precious girl!  While Carmen does have some health insurance to cover part of the medical expenses, it is no where near enough to cover the financial impact that is looming the longer she remains on ECMO.  And since she is a single mom, her income was the sole source of funding to maintain their day to day life.  Our goal is to raise funds to help maintain their existing obligations, which includes caring for Preston, as well as new financial obligations due to her continuous care in ICU.
