Hello, my name is Diana Sánchez, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help during this incredibly difficult time. Yesterday, Tropical Storm Chantal hit our community in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and sadly, we lost everything.

We are a family of five — my husband, our two young children, and myself — and we now find ourselves without a home, without belongings, and without even the basic essentials. It all happened so fast: the water came rushing into our home and within minutes destroyed our furniture, clothes, documents, and precious memories.

Now we are facing the harsh reality of having to start from scratch.

With this campaign, we hope to raise funds for:

Clothing and basic essentials

Temporary housing

Food and supplies for our children

Replacing important documents and work tools
