Hi we are Ana Maria, Christian, Elizabeth and our dog Niño, we are an Australian family who recently moved to Colombia.

In the recent earthquake in Colombia, when the earthquake hit, our whole little family was saved by waiting the earthquake out hiding under the dining table watching as walls broke and bits of ceiling fell, the wall to the lift well fell into our apartment and hit Christian on the back, he has bruising but thankfully nothing else. Whilst a kind neighbour helped my 85 year old mother down the stairs that were full of debris, Christian and I gathered our documents and a small amount of clothing, not daring to take much as we didn't know if there would be after shocks. We thankfully made it out, our whole little family and our dog.

Our apartment building has ended up uninhabitable and it is too unsafe to go in to try to retrieve any of our belongings, so we are looking at starting from scratch.

We are extremely grateful to have been able to come out all together and physically unscathed. We are also grateful for now that we are able to stay with family. However we will need to start from scratch as we are starting with next to nothing.

Some of our friends and family have expressed a desire to help so we are setting up this page to assist with this, any and all help you can give is greatly appreciated, if you would also please share with your contacts it would also be appreciated. Know that we appreciate your help with what you can spare, please prioritise your families and yourselves.
