Please help rebuild our life after the Victorian bushfires

Donation protected
I am Lars Klint, and for the past 11 years I have lived on a rural farm just outside Alexandra in Victoria. On 9 January 2026, devastating bushfires tore through Victoria in one of the worst fire events the state has seen in years. Across the region, entire properties were lost, over 350 structures destroyed, and more than 1,000 agricultural properties impacted as flames raced through farmland, bushland, and communities. Emergency warnings are still active, and firefighters have been stretched to their limits.

In those fires, our farm was almost completely wiped out. All the details are in this YouTube video too: https://youtu.be/mNEPSWcOheY

In the space of less than 2 hours we lost:
  • Five buildings, including sheds, studio, office, accommodation, workshops, and storage
  • Eight vehicles
  • Memorabilia from countless community events
  • Most of our computers, cameras, servers, and gear
  • Countless memories and personal objects with huge sentimental value
  • Farm infrastructure and automation systems
  • Robot lawn mowers, tools, cameras, and tech equipment
  • Personal and project items that made this place what it was

The one thing left standing is the main homestead, and we are deeply grateful it survived. But beyond the homestead, the farm we built — the tech, the infrastructure, the creative space, the gear — is gone.

If you follow my YouTube channel, you know this farm isn’t just where I live. It’s where ideas became projects, where cameras recorded experiments, where orange hat villains were caught on camera, where robots mowed paddocks (and sometimes each other), and where countless hours went into building and sharing things that hopefully helped you, amused you, or inspired you.

We do have insurance, and it will help. But anyone who’s ever rebuilt after fire knows that insurance doesn’t cover everything — especially not custom-built systems, out-of-production equipment, months of work, or the infrastructure that made this place both a home and a creative engine. And it will take time. Insurance is a sloooooow process, as is rebuilding of lives and buildings.

So we are asking — humbly — for help to get back on our feet.

A portion of every dollar raised will go directly to our local CFA & Community
I also need to say something about the CFA, the volunteer firefighters in Victoria, because without them, none of this would even be a conversation.

Our local CFA are all volunteers. Most of them are farmers, tradies, parents, people who literally grow the food that ends up on our tables. When the fires came through, they didn’t clock on to a job. They left their own homes, their own stock, their own paddocks, their own livelihood, and stood on the fire line to protect everyone else.

Some of them kept fighting even while they knew their own properties were burning and lost.

That’s not a slogan. That’s what happened.

That’s why a portion of everything raised here will go straight back to our local CFA. It’s the smallest way we can say thank you to people who gave everything when it mattered most.

How Your Support Will Help
Your donation — whether large or small — will go toward:
  • Rebuilding our office and video studio
  • Replacing essential filming, computing, and production equipment
  • Restoring farm automation, cameras, and systems
  • Replacing tools, vehicles, and infrastructure needed to run the farm
  • Helping us get back to creating content and sharing the process with you

Even if all you can do is share this page, send a message of support, or leave a comment, it makes a huge difference right now.

Thank you for being part of this community.
Thank you for watching, reading, and supporting what we do.
And thank you for anything you can give right now — be it time, attention, encouragement, or funds.

We are beginning the long and difficult path back from this, and we couldn’t do it without you.

With gratitude,
Lars, Fiona, Christian and Chris
