We just need a little help with rent and bills

While I was overwhelmed by everyone last time, I admittedly was unfamiliar with this process. I just followed the prompts gfm told me.

I feel like a loser and idiot. I hate begging like this. Just didnt take into account how long the disability process is. And I hoped the election wouldn't result in DOGE and straight up fascism. Pretty sure a couple of my SSA caseworkers were fired by Trump and Musk

I know that im not everyone's cup of tea but some of you guys have a friend for life, or as long as im here.

Ive been trying to sell old posters I got from my theater days, comics I have, old books, etc. We're just trying to get to my disability payments.

The last time I spoke to the lawyers office they basically said, "let us know if you have a change of address" meaning, they dont care if their clients get evicted. So essentially, the people who are helping us, dont share our goals. Bit of a headfuck to honest.

My last job was insane bc I was about to lease renovated homes to voucher-holders and to move them into "opportunity areas."

Im one of those ppl who believes in direct cash reparations for African Americans, so it was a dream job. It matched my values, but like all landlords, the bosses were deeply fucked up. They raggedbout my car(at the time) and my health. You don't need to hear a sob story. I just wish I could work.

Anyway, the process of disability is demeaning and fraught and everything takes longer than it should. Anyway help would be appreciated.

You guys know me. I have Multiple Sclerosis. I finally caught covid in 2023 and another time idk earlier this year(?).

Anyway, my blood pressure has been fucked ever since and it's too high for me to get my MS med infusions.

As a result, I shake all the time, limp, has crazy spams. Lss: MS is a bullshit disease. My wife works but I haven't since April 2024.

I applied for disability benefits last April and its taking its dear sweet time. The lawyers think it can take three to seven month or a year. Its a nightmare.

A couple friends have helped us but I really hate being a burden to everyone in my life.

Also, when the benefits do finally start I plan to pay everyone back from the first back-dated lump sum.
