Help Brockton Workers Survive Covid-19

Mírlene lost her mother as a result of COVID-19, while Mírlene was working at a nursing home. She had no idea that she would contract the virus at work and bring it home to her mom. This is the story of many undocumented workers taking care of others in the suburbs of Brockton or commuting to work in and around Boston.
Help us to provide Personal Protective Equipment to help workers care for others, as well as food for those that have contracted COVID-19 and cannot work, or need help with rent and utilities while recovering from this pandemic. We are receiving an overwhelming number of phone calls each day from workers who are in crisis, and we need more resources to be able to assist everyone.
A $50 donation will provide a dozen masks that Brockton community members are hand sewing for workers.
A donation in the range of $100 - $150 will cover one month of utilities for a Brockton family.
A $200 donation will provide a week of groceries for a Brockton family.
A $1,500 donation covers one month's rent for an average Brockton family.
A gift in any amount is helpful.
We are grateful to Fair Foods for donating produce to the weekly food pantry we are assembling, as well as to a church in Brockton for donating their space, and all of our donors thus far. This food pantry is open to all, which is important for people who can't access resources because of ID requirements.
