Grace Barron is an amazing 15-year-old with a heart of gold and a spirit that’s nothing short of inspiring. Grace has been through so much already in her short life. Last June she had bilateral hip surgery, and now she’s facing an even bigger challenge.
Grace was recently diagnosed with a rare and serious heart condition called Anomalous Aortic Origin of the Right Coronary Artery (AAORCA). AAORCA is when the right coronary artery (RCA), which usually comes off the main artery from the heart (the aorta), starts from an unusual spot. It’s a condition that affects less than 1% of people and can lead to life-threatening complications if untreated. Grace now needs open-heart surgery this February to fix the problem and ensure her heart stays healthy and strong.
As you can imagine, this is a tough road for Grace and her family—not just emotionally, but financially, too. Between medical bills, traveling out of state for her surgery, and all the little things that come with recovery, the expenses are piling up fast.
We hope that this GoFundMe will give Grace and her family one less thing to worry about. Every single dollar raised will go directly toward her medical expenses, travel costs, and anything else they need to get through this.
If you know Grace, you know how special she is. She’s an artist, a snowboarder, a track star, and someone whose smile can light up your entire day. She’s got so much ahead of her, and with our help, we can make sure she gets the bright future she deserves.
Please consider donating—no amount is too small—and sharing Grace’s story with your friends and family. Together, we can show her what an incredible community she has standing behind her.
Thank you so much for helping Grace and her family during this time. Let’s show them just how much love and support is out there.
