We Heart Children- Burris Park

The Southeast Arizona Area Health Education Center, known as SEAHEC, is a rural health & development agency working in partnership with rural communities, families and individuals to improve their health and wellbeing. I am a marketing student intern working directly with SEAHEC .In Winchester Heights, Arizona, a rural impoverished farmworker community, we are working with residents to establish a community center, so that people can meet, hold education classes and improve their livelihoods. Children of farmworkers are known to be some of the most vulnerable in America – vulnerable because of poverty, language barriers, isolation and lack of services. This project will directly benefit farmworker children in Winchester Heights, by providing them a safe and fun place to play.
100% of the donations will go to create a playground and Children’s Memorial Park, in memory of Jake & Jessica Burris. My brother,Jake Burris, passed away before reaching his first year due to a heart condition he was born with. My sister, Jessica Burris, passed away recently from heart failure suddenly, and unexpectedly. Words can't explain how passionate I am about this project. I want these children to have a safe place to play, and I want to promote heart health. In the Burris family we have an inrepairable hole in our hearts without Jake and Jessica, with this park they will be remembered. Please help me make this possible, many of you knew and loved Jessica and Jake. If you know me, you know that my sister was my entire world. Anything you can give is greatly appreciated. 
 We need funds in spring 2018 in order to inaugurate our playground in summer 2018.
