Good World Animal Rescue and Protection (GWARP) is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing animals in Azerbaijan, where homeless and injured animals often have few options for safety or care. With more than 600 dogs and 100 cats in its care, GWARP operates one of the largest animal shelters in Azerbaijan. GWARP provides shelter, veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, food, and protection to animals who have been abandoned, abused, injured, or left to survive on the streets. When possible, recovered animals are placed in loving homes locally and abroad, including in Canada and the United States.

WE HAVE RECEIVED AN URGENT UPDATE

The landlord of our primary shelter, our ‘dacha’ has let us know that we will be evicted imminently if back rent is not paid.

We need $9,000 immediately. $15,000 would keep the shelter open through November. We hope to be able to continue saving lives into the new year.

GWARP has two dog yards and one primary shelter; a large house or ‘dacha’, where we keep: recent rescues, disabled dogs who can’t survive in the dog yard, puppies, all of our cats, and dogs ready to travel.

Now they could lose their home.

Animals like sweet Aura, who was run over by her owner’s car, then dropped off at GWARP. She is bent and broken-limbed and falls over after a few steps but has a joy and will to live that breaks our hearts and keeps us fighting for her and for all the rest.

There is no second shelter waiting for them. If we lose this property, animals we fought so hard to save could face being returned to the streets or euthanized.

$9,000 is too much for one person. It is not too much for all of us.

$10 helps. $25 helps. $50 helps. Every donation matters, and every share may put this appeal in front of the person who can make the difference.

They have already survived the worst of humanity.

Please help us show them something better.

We have only days.
