Jason was recently diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma. I’m not sure about you, but the Jason I know is a fighter. To fight this off, his first round of defense will be surgery to remove a portion of his kidney. This surgery will leave Jason down and out of work while recovering. This extremely unexpected diagnosis will have a severe financial impact on his family as he is the primary financial provider for his family of 4: Taylor (wife), Holden (son), and Rilynn (daughter).
To know Jason is to love him. He’s the type of dad every child deserves. He’s the husband his wife has dreamed of. He’s the friend everyone wants to have in their corner. He’s the deputy that everyone wants on their side. He’s the SRO we can all trust with our children’s lives.
If you can find it in your heart to help donate to this beautiful family, I know how grateful and appreciative they will all be as they face an unknown fight.
There will be other chances to help this beautiful family as a t-shirt fundraiser is being coordinated, as well as a Spaghetti Dinner with 50/50 and silent auction event.
Surgery is tentatively March 5/6. As soon as a date is confirmed, there will be a meal train set up as well.
As you can see, there is more than one way to give back to Jason and his family as he gives so much of himself to the students and citizens of not only Havelock and Havelock High School, but Craven County.
