We got your back II

Hello all, for those of you that don’t know, Kylie had a pretty serious fall two weeks ago. Kylie went into the kitchen to get water from the fridge and didn’t notice Odin right behind her and tripped. She landed on her pelvis and heard a loud pop. We immediately knew something was not okay because she could not get up or move. We had to call Emergency Services to have her taken to the hospital and once there they performed an ex-ray and saw that Kylie had fractured her L1 vertebrae. They kept her for a few hours to get her pain under control and then sent her on her way. Basically they left it up to Kylie to get in to see a specialist. Thankfully our friend Katt referred us to a specialist who was able to make an appointment for Kylie three days later. On the day of her appointment the swelling was much worse and she was in more pain than before due to severe muscle spasms in her back. It was so bad that Kylie was not able to move again. Even though her appointment was in a couple hours she didn’t think she would make it so we called emergency services a second time. When they arrived they (luckily) convinced her alongside us that she should NOT go to the ER again because they would do the same thing as before, manage the pain then send her on her way. But that would also cause her to miss her appointment. They strongly advised they would get her down to the car but then I would take her to her appointment. The next hours driving, getting her out of the car and into the office, and then waiting for the Dr were excruciating. She was screaming in pain and the worst part is there wasn’t much we could do to help. When the Dr came in, he took a look at the ex-rays and was horrified at what he saw. The vertebrae that shattered didn’t look like the others. The others were a see through white while that vertebrae was dark and splotchy. He said it no longer has the density the others have. He said this could be due to a number of things, potentially even cancer. She has an MRI this Monday to determine next steps but he’s thinking she will likely need another surgery to stabilize her back so it doesn’t collapse. Kylie has been in pain and had issues since surgery for her scoliosis 14 years ago. We hope she does not have to go forward with surgery but we won’t know until Monday and if it is an “emergency” surgery it will have to be the same day! I am pleading for anyone’s help. We have to come up with $500 by Monday and I don’t know how else to do this. After that I will have a better idea of exactly how much her surgery is going to be if we have to go that route. Please help by donating and if you can’t donate please share and help us get her story out there! Let’s show Kylie we got her back! ❤️❤️❤️
