Help my sister Saima fight Colon Cancer.

Donation protected
Towards the end of 2016 my beautiful 38 years old sister Saima Tahir, mother of 3 amazing children was diagnosed with colon cancer stage-3. As many people know this is a common form of cancer, however, it is usually associated with older demographics.

This news was a huge shock to our entire family. We were all devastated by this news. Saima went through a surgery to remove the tumor and finished her 8 cycles of Chemo by March 2017. At that time, Doctors said she doesn’t have much chance of re-occurrence. We were so happy that she was able to fight it off. Next, when she went for her 6 months tests in March 2018, we were further relieved when all her test came clear.

She moved to different geographic location after 5 months of last tests results. Knowing that her tests were clear, and chances of any recurrence are minimal, she changed her priorities and opted to resettle into a new place. In the process, she missed one of her follow-up tests after 6 months. After settling in, she decided to find an Oncologist to get the tests done for her next follow-up.  She found one well-recommended Oncologist and made an appointment. The doctor ordered the blood-work and a CT Scan. The next day our nightmare started all over again.  She was diagnosed Stage 4 metastatic cancer, and it had spread in the abdominal area.

As per her doctor, she needs 3 sets of chemo to shrink the tumors down and based on that outcome they will then perform a surgery to remove multiple affected organs. Her Doctor says she will need 12 cycles of chemo. The good news is that it is curative. But the bad news is as many of you know, unfortunately, cancer treatment is very expensive. She and her husband have already exhausted all their savings, even to their last saleable possession. They are unable to meet the expenses of this round of treatments. As a family, we have tried and came up with some funding, but it is not enough. Our goal is to raise enough money to complete her treatment. Our worst fear is to get stuck in the middle of the treatments and run out of money. Her first chemo is scheduled on May 3rd, 2019.

We desperately need your help if not financially, please pray for her health, as she is a young and a wonderful person full of life. She is needed by her young children.  We will be eternally grateful to you for your contribution and support and will always remember you in our prayers. Thank you.
