My name is Mai, I'm 28 years old.

From Palestine, specifically from Gaza.

I'll tell my story in a nutshell.

I had a good, stable and safe life, born in a beautiful family filled with love, and I had never lacked anything in my life.

I got married 8 months ago, started a new family, lived two months at the beginning of my marriage in the best days of my life.

Until the war came just two months after my wedding, and that's where my tragic days began.

I had to move from my house to a safer place unfortunately, without my husband, and a few days after the fucking war, I found out I was pregnant.

Pregnant under difficult, tragic and harsh circumstances , no safety, no healthy life for me and my child, nothing around me but rocket sounds, shooting and dying everywhere.

Then the danger became closer, and I had to move back again from my city of Khan Yunis to the city of Rafah to a safer place with my husband in harsher and harder circumstances, and it got tougher every day.

The occupation destroyed my entire home over all of its dreams and plans for the future.

The house my husband worked in built seven years to bring us together, the house that the war destroyed it just after two months of living in.

Not only my home, my childhood home, and memories, my family's house, too, is now destroyed, no shelter, no housing, no work, we've lost everything.

Now I'm just sticking to life for my unborn child, I don't want him to live this tragedy, I don't want to have him in this fucking war in the midst of this destruction and displacement, I want a safe life for my child, I want a bright future for him, I want to have him in the middle of a normal life, but there are obstacles that prevent me and my husband from providing this to our child.

I want to help my small family in travel costs so I can have my child in a safe country away from this war.

Knowing that the cost of travel per person is $5,000

There are also costs for living insurance after travel and the costs of having a child

After 11 months of war...

I gave birth to my first child in this war

After repeated displacement and movement from one place to another to escape death to a place that might be safer

Under extremely difficult and dangerous circumstances, we are surrounded on all sides, and danger still surrounds us

My child came into life with no shelter, no comfort, and no safety.

We are now waiting in hope for the war to end so that we can continue life that has been on hold for nearly a year

But conditions became harsher and life became almost impossible

Therefore, I ask you to help us so that we can provide for the needs of my child and my family as much as possible to get through this difficult period

So we can escape from this hell
