Ezra Anthony is a sweet and social little man. He loves music, animals, and his mom and dad. He also has the most incredible head of hair!!
Since he took his first breath, Ezra has been changing lives and moving mountains. The name Ezra means ‘helper’ and at only 14 months old, he has helped so many people. He has helped soften hearts, heal souls, and restore faith!
On December 7th, 2016, the day of his birth, Ezra became an answer to prayer as his birth mom selflessly placed him into the arms of Jesse and Robyn. This gift ended a five year wait on the journey to becoming parents. Since that day, Jesse and Robyn wake each morning with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and joy that they get to call this precious boy their son.
On the morning of February 25th, Ezra was rushed to the hospital where he was later diagnosed with serogroup B meningitis (a rare strain that is not routinely vaccinated for). Ezra is currently fighting for his life as his doctors and nurses try to reduce the swelling in his brain and control his seizures.
Jesse and Robyn were told Ezra has a 1/3 chance he’ll walk away from this 100% okay, a 1/3 chance of brain damage and a 1/3 chance he won’t survive. They’re holding onto hope, as are their families, and are grateful for the support and prayers they have received! They feel truly blessed by the community that has come together to surround them and lift them up (even reaching as far as Australia)!
