:)  UPDATE 3-12-18  :)

Patti moved to Rehab today!!!  She will begin Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy in the morning.  The family has met with 2 Oncologists...one specializing in Radiation Therapy and another one specializing in Chemotherapy.  Patti is starting to understand now what lies ahead for her.  She is so special and strong...there is no doubt she plans to Fight like a Girl to reclaim her life.  Radiation will begin next week.  The physician explained she will need 6 to 8 months of chemotherapy.  Her parents are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support here and other venues.  The friends and coworkers of Pat, Mindi, Sean, and Patti have been amazing, thoughtful, and so loving in their support.  Thank you for your continued support and prayers~

UPDATE 3-2-18

The drain is finally out which means Patti is out of the ICU.  With this good news comes other challenges.  She was monitored very closely 1:1 in the ICU.  Since moving late yesterday, she awakened early this morning, and unfortunately fell.  With the fall, her surgical wound re-opened requiring new sutures.  Her appetite has been very poor, yet a feeding tube was avoided in the nick of time thanks to our hometown Imo's Pizza and Mindi's legendary patience!  Communication has been challenging as Patti remains very quiet.  She continues to experience terrible headaches, minimal speech, and issues with motor coordination.  Her Neurosurgeon continues to state his belief that these issues will resolve with time.  She continues with physical therapy and the love and prayers of so many friends and family members.  We have raised the go fund me goal now twice thanks to the generosity of so many.  Everyone is anxious for the day she can start the chemo and radiation.  I took this pic of her on 1-1-2018!  It is one of my favorites and sums up the beautiful spirit being she is.  Pat and Mindi are anxious for the day they can take Patti outside the hospital to visit with her beloved pets.  That is the next goal for Patty, and we can't wait to see the smile on her face when it happens!

***UPDATE***
2-20-18
EVERYONE:
Unfortunately, the pathology report came back yesterday & indicated an aggressive form of brain stem cancer. There will be a long road of chemo and radiation ahead. Waiting until she recovers from surgery for spinal MRI. They had to put a drain in today because of swelling. Please continue to like and share this and please donate if you can. If some friends decided to skip that coffee or bottled water and donated $1, that would help a bunch❣ If you can't, please Pray for this soft, beautiful soul, and please help share this a bazillion times. Please pray for Pat, Mindi, and Sean too~

Original Post:
In just 2 short days, the lives of one of the most beautiful families changed in an instant....the instant a beautiful 20 year old girl and her mother were rushed to the Hospital from their local ER to greet the neurosurgeon who would remove the golfball size tumor that was attached to Patti's brainstem.  Her mom already works 2 jobs, 7 days a week to help support the family.  With all of the work her mom and dad have missed, they are not certain what to expect in the days, weeks, and months ahead as they wait for pathology reports.  Patti will need physical therapy to learn to walk again and not certain about chemo/radiation.  Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated to help with medical expenses.

Patti is a working college student who loves animals and they love her back.  She is a beautiful soul, and her smile lights up any room~
