We can help Anne get back on her feet

It’s with a heavy heart that I am posting this.
On Monday, 27th March 2023, my best friend Michele Price’s beautiful, vibrant, larger than life mum, Anne has been involved in a horrific golf buggy accident on Hamilton Island, Queensland.
Anne & John finally had their son (Michele’s brother) and his family over from South Africa for a family reunion holiday. Anne was so excited… literally on cloud 9, then this.
Anne was airlifted in a critical condition to Mackay where she underwent surgery for TWO broken legs, cracked ribs and a fractured shoulder. She’s in such a bad way .
John (Anne’s husband) and Michele are also still up in Mackay to help Anne and especially to lift her spirits. Due to her injuries and at the risk of blood clots, Anne is expected to stay in Mackay hospital for at least another week where she will then have to seek a medical transfer to a rehabilitation centre on the Gold Coast.
The expected recovery is long, around 6 months. We are hoping & praying she will be well enough to keep their once in a lifetime trip to in September for Michele & Simons 50th Birthday celebrations.
As with such major injuries, there have been many unexpected costs, right now and for a long time to come in the future. As you may know, John & Anne are pensioners and many of you kind family and friends have asked how you can help.
As we cannot take the pain away (unfortunately), we can certainly take the some of the financial pressure off. Anne and John are too proud to ask this of themselves, so I thank you in advance for your understanding and kindness…. Luv Tanya.
We will be using any funds raised for Anne to pay towards her medical transfer from Mackay back to the Gold Coast so she could receive the correct rehabilitation and have the support of family.
Due to the urgency and to help her mum and dad, Anne’s daughter, Michele will be acting as beneficiary for Anne and John.
We are all so very grateful to everyone who helped make this happen. John & Anne are very emotional about the response, and will be in touch with you all soon.
