We both lost our jobs unexpectedly and need help!

Me and Tyler both worked at the same company for the last 14 months. Due to lack of work, we both got laid off on November 13th and were told to file unemployment. Unfortunately in NC, unemployment pays less than half of your weekly wage and takes weeks to begin payment. We have been left with no money coming in, bills we are unable to pay, absolutely no money left for gas in the car, food for our pets...the list goes on and on. We did recently get some food from the local food pantry and a wonderful woman who knew of our situation. Our sense of security has been ripped out from under us with no wrong doing on our parts. We did not have an option to continue working... I fortunately, by the grace of God, instantly found a new job, which I have already started. Because of how the new pay period works out, I have 2 more weeks to go before I get my first check. Deciding to post our story publicly to ask for help has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make but after a lot of prayer, I decided for my family I had to give it a shot. It is up to me to make things ok for me and my two kids. As their mother, they look to me for their own sense of security and that is the hardest part. I know 99% of people are struggling right now due to the economy and uncertainty in the world and in our futures. But we have hit dead ends upon every turn and because of this, I am trying this as a last resort. I appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read this. I feel very vulnerable putting this all out there but I know the people who know us and care about us would never judge us for me deciding to do this. We are out of options and frankly have nothing left to survive on. Thank you all so much and prayers are definitely helpful as well. Prayer has gotten me this far!!! Any and all help is beyond appreciated and I will make it my mission to pay it forward when we get our feet back on the ground.
