Hello, my name is Javier Ambrosio and my wife is Kaylie Ambrosio Moreno. Since I got deported from the US two years ago after being there for 23 years, we have been thriving to start a new life in Mexico, in the beautiful Ajijic on the Lake Chapala Riviera.
it has not been easy to start from zero, specially when all the people in the business see us as a competitor instead of colleagues. I have worked in several places and have had different ethical points of view with the people I’ve worked for, the clients have encouraged Me to start my own business and we did, but it is taking longer than we anticipated to acquire the license to sell mixology ( which is my most profitable skill ) in the meantime we have been selling thrift style clothing and Art that we make ourselves out of trash using up cycling methods and it has provided for a few months to eat but not to pay the bills. We already had some support from local families and relatives but we’re still not able close this month bills and rent. At this moment we have done all processes to get our license and be able to work on a different level of revenue by selling high end cocktails with organic techniques and ingredients, but it seems like the rent and bills are going to get us to loose the business before it starts.
We have a 4 year old boy named Caleb who is going to school this year in Florida with my sister and a 2 year old daughter “Juniper” who is what keeps us going.
Being an expat is not easy, specially when everyone expects You to be financially stable, but we lost all everything we had when I got deported and we haven’t given up yet.
We lived in California for 22 years and we met a lot of people that I may never get to see again, I know things are hard everywhere right now. But my wife convinced Me to do this and we believe that due to the different values of the dollar compared to
pesos, maybe someone will help us with what we need here in Mexico to kickstart our Family business and have a shot of success.
we know there’s people that need help in ways that cannot compare to our cause, but yet, maybe someone can relate to us and help us. Thank You for taking the time to read this and we wish Everyone prosperity on whatever they do.
