Hi! We are Ella and Molly, and we are running the Bournemouth Half Marathon on the 12th October 2025. We are raising money to benefit Shaftesbury Breast Cancer Awareness (BooBs).

Shaftesbury Breast Cancer Awareness is a local registered charity that aim to raise awareness of breast cancer in women and men, and teach how to check your breasts to help early detection. Not only is their aim to promote awareness, but also to support women, men and their families who have been, or are going through treatment. BooBs can help financially with the added costs of going for treatment and appointments, and also for the costs of wigs, mastectomy bras etc.

We have chosen to run and fundraise for this charity as they became extremely close to our hearts in 2022, when Ella’s mum Rachel was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, BooBs have provided Rachel and her family with physical and emotional support throughout her treatment and recovery. BooBs have helped so many people going through the horrendous challenges faced when battling cancer, and they will continue to make a difference to so many people’s lives, who are affected by breast cancer. Therefore, we feel we would like to repay for everything they have done, and will continue to do in the future.

Running a half marathon is a huge challenge for us, but one that we are extremely excited and proud to be taking on. Our training is well and truly underway, and so we would greatly appreciate your support and any donations, no matter how big or small!
