Support Jamaica’s Tourism Workers Through Education & Empowerment ✊
Jamaica’s tourism industry generates over $4 billion annually , yet many of the workers who power it housekeepers, cooks, bartenders, porters, gardeners, and service staff still face low wages, limited protections, and little access to information about their rights.
The National Hospitality Workers Union (NHWU) was formed in 2024 to change that reality.
NHWU is raising funds to launch education, outreach, and worker empowerment programs across Jamaica helping tourism workers understand their rights, organize for fair treatment, and build stronger economic futures for themselves and their families.

Funds raised will go directly toward:
Sensitization campaigns to educate tourism workers about their labor rights and protections
️ Public interviews and media outreach to amplify workers’ voices and highlight industry realities
️ Grassroots and underground community outreach to reach workers who are often ignored or afraid to speak up
Mutual aid and emergency assistance for workers facing hardship
Training and leadership programs on labor rights, contracts, negotiation, and career advancement
Building and maintaining a website to share information, resources, and updates with workers and supporters
Union shirts and outreach materials to help identify and support the movement and spread awareness
