UPDATE as of 3/16/26: Surgery was completed as of noon! They only needed to repair instead of replace (yay!). Karah and Bill were able to see her after 2PM. She's still very sleepy but projected to be in ICU for the next 2 days ❤️

UPDATE as of 3/1/26: Nikkis surgery is set for 3/16/26. At this time the doctors are prepared to go in to repair the valve but if needed once starting, they will replace it. Keep sending those prayers her way & continue to SHARE ✨️

Nikki is not only an amazing human being, but she is a friend, daughter, sister, teacher, wife & mother. Nikki gives SO much of herself to her friends, family and career. Prior to the holidays Nikki was admitted into the hospital for what she thought was a panic attack, turning out to be pneumonia. Something we never saw coming. Since then she has had an echocardigram resulting in further testing to discover she has a degenerative heart valve. What is that you ask? It basically means instead of the heart valves opening like french doors, one is collapsing on itself. What's next? Nikki will have to undergo open heart surgery to repair OR replace the valve (more tests pending.) While we know that sounds scary (it is!) We know that Nikki is one of the STRONGEST humans we have ever met. While she is still working alongside her babies in the classroom, we want to help prepare for any future finances we can help with. Nikki is recently married to her amazing husband Bill, while also raising her mini me daughter, Karah. If you cannot donate, please send uplifting prayers through these unknown waters they are embarking.
