Home is destroyed by the hurricane...

UPDATE; Well it's official...this was not a category 4 hurricane...it was 2 MPH short of being a cat 5 hurricane. The whole house is trashed. While it seems my roof survived...I have lost pretty much everything else. My really nice carport is GONE...my shed protecting pretty much everything including washer/dryer, all my mom's stored things for when she comes here, is GONE...and my beautiful patio that was the play den for my dogs is also GONE. I can tell you that almost everyone in my complex has suffered unimaginable and incalculable damage. They mostly all seem like they are packing up and leaving. Only I have no place to go, and I can't afford to move...I have to stay here, even though I can not afford to pay someone to clean up around my house, and there is no way I will be able to replace the damaged parts of my house. I am heart sick. I thought this house was going to be my forever home, and now it is just a shell of itself. Please help in any way you can...and thank you. The damage here in southwest Florida is horrifying. Everyone here needs help. Please give some to all of us on GoFundMe...even just $5 or $10....

We are getting hit with a category 4 hurricane!! I have no money to evacuate with. This storm is happening 5 days before I collect my social security payment. I have less than $100 in my bank account. I really need some help. I expect that my old mobile home will be ruined, and I will have no way to fix it, and will become homeless.

Thank you for reading this... I am a 66 yr old Vietnam veteran, currently trying to survive on only social security, and food stamps. My health is very marginal. I have suffered 2 minor heart attacks and have 6 stents surrounding my heart. I also need a double knee replacement, and do not have the funds to do that. I believe I am a pretty good guy, or try to be. I take care of my 91 yr old mom during the winter. (She owns the house with me, and will not have a place to come to this winter.)(she is on only social security as well.) I also help my neighbors when I can.

I have tried and tried again, many times, to be successful and it just hasn't worked out for me at all. I recently had my AC break, and was lucky enough to find an AC company that would fix it for me, and then I have to pay them every month. That also further depletes my social security every month, because I now barely have $25 left at the end of the month. I don't have much, and now my nice (but old) mobile home is being attacked by this cat 4 hurricane, and I just don't know what to do. I can't go to a shelter, because my dogs are not registered, with dog tags, so they won't take them in.

I really need help. I live in North Fort Myers, and we are under a mandatory evacuation. But I can't afford to go anywhere. I don't have any money for a hotel, and my plan is to leave my home when it gets really bad, and go hide behind the north side of a building, since the 130 MPH winds will be coming from the south.

Again, thank you for reading this...and please help if you can. I will update as I can, but I expect to lose power shortly, and most likely for at least 2-3 days, when the outside temp will again become 90-95 degrees.
