Dear Family, and Friends,
Over the past few years, since 2014, Jon has gone through a number of medical procedures that have taken a toll on our finances. We have been trying to manage living expenses and growing medical bills at the same time, but with more medical expenses/bills on the way we feel buried under the load.
To give you a short history, Jonathon had a gastric sleeve and has lost about 170lbs, then during recovery and rehab it was revealed that he needed open heart surgery-triple bypass, later on he had a freak fall which resulted in a Broken Femur of the left leg and was 10 weeks non weight bearing in a rehab center, more recently he had to have disk replacement in his neck and a major low back surgery with 4 levels of decompression and disk fusion followed by a week of hospitalization. There is also the possibility of one more surgery in the near future.
It was after his heart surgery that he tried to go back to teaching and he realized he physically could not teach another 5 years so he decided to retired from teaching after 32 years. During this time we were without income except mine for about 4 to 6 months.
We have been doing our best to keep the medical bills paid but find ourselves over our head, overwhelmed and behind in payments. Consequently we are asking for your financial assistance and would appreciate your help. We fully understand some cannot afford to or will not be able to give, but knowing we have your love and supprot is fine with us.
We ask that you continue to pray for us because we are fighters and not ones to give up easily. We know God has a plan. We move forward, knowing God will continue to sustain us like he already has shown he will.
