I am Tina Montgomery, mother of Julius Montgomery and mother-in-law of Janice Smith. Janice has recently passed away after a very long battle with Lupus Nephritis. At 24, she lost both of her kidneys. She was a single mom of two, and her sister, Rebecca, was able to donate a kidney. That kidney had lasted almost twenty years, but when she became sick with COVID a couple of years ago, that kidney was badly damaged, which put her back on dialysis. In the past 1 1/2 years, that has become home dialysis, daily. On Monday, September 22, 2025, she lost the battle here but attained entrance to Heaven.

Needless to say, there is no life insurance policy that would touch this, and so the cost of funeral and burial service falls on her parents, Kevin and Debbie Smith, and her husband, Julius Montgomery.
