Thursday Morning I left my house with my 3 kids and came down to the valley to my moms house due to a power outage. Upon arriving I sat and watched the agua dulce fire unfold and watched how rapidly it hit canyon country and how close it was to our home and our neighborhood. There was no way to go back as road closures had started , freeway was closed down and access into our community was not an option .
Communicating with friends and people still in their homes around 10 pm we felt better as things seemed to have settled down and the fire wasn’t as active .
2am hits and I get a call from my husband who was waiting down the mountain along others cars trying to get into the community. Another fire had just broke out and everyone was quickly being told to leave . We had Friends running for their lives as this fire spread extremely fast .
4am I get a devastating call from a friend that our home was lost, I turn on the news to the channel that was broadcasting live and there was our home. A fire ember flew and destroyed the front part of the house . Attic destroyed . From what we were told the whole bottom floor has water damaged . We have no idea what can be salvaged as we have not been allowed to go back . All we know is that we have lost almost everything and we are now in a rush to get a new place and replace a lot of things. We are In a rush to have our kids settled so they don’t feel the impact of what has happened .
We were renting our home and unfortunately did not have insurance coverage . Never in a million years did we think we would be in this position or go through something of this nature .
I wanna thank all of our family and friends who have reached out , who have been checking in on us and offering help . In advance thank you to anyone who can donate but if not even if you guys can help share the link ❤️
