Hi, my name is Kari. My sweet 4 year old rat terrier Edie was at a friend’s house to keep cool when my air conditioning unit broke. One of the kids let her out and she got spooked by the other dogs and fled. We searched well into the night with no luck, but my brave little girl turned up the following day. She suffered a traumatic injury to her mouth requiring oral surgery from a specialist, and what appears to be road rash on her leg, injuries her vets believe are from being hit by a car while she was missing. The vet bills are mounting at $5,000 so far, on top of me needing to replace the air conditioning unit and still paying large medical bills from my own leukemia treatment. Any help with these vet bills would be greatly appreciated!
