Zach Lockhart and his family have been on quite a roller coaster ride the last month. At the end of December Zach decided to rejoin his family and moved home from California. Little did the all know this was the new start for their long battle. He became sick rather quickly and after a couple of visits to the clinic trying to figure it all out he ended up in the emergency room at Methodist West. They ran some test and decided to send him to the ICU at Methodist downtown where the specialists are. As the week went by he became more and more ill. With all the frustration of being in pain, swelling everywhere, and getting very little answers they have finally given us answers. Zach was diagnosed with kaposis's sarcoma in his lymph nodes. Which is a cancer he got from being HIV positive. This is a very scary situation for him and his family. But we did get good news that it has not progressed into aids or into his bones. We are hoping for a strong recovery as he has already started chemo and is starting to feel better but has a long battle ahead of him. I am asking everyone to please help the Lockhart's in this long road ahead of them. Michelle has missed several days of work and the whole family has made several trips to the hospital daily. There will be several trips that will need to be made for doctor appointments, chemo appointments, and several life changing things that they will need help with. If any of you know the Lockhart's you know they would do anything for anyone or probably have already helped you in some way. So please let's show them how much we appreciate their love they have given all of us and help them in their time of need.
