Help for Julianne
Donation protected
My niece, Julianne Ford, has been fighting for her life since directly after Christmas. On December 30th, at only five years old, Julianne went in for her fifth brain surgery. While she already had one brain shunt in place--to help with her ongoing hydrocephalus after removing part of her skull as a result of a Chiari Malformation--she needed a second one attached to further drain her fourth ventricle. As such, she received a ventricular perinatal shunt just before the new year.
After what appeared to be a successful surgery, Julianne was discharged from the hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on January 1st to return home for healing. Unfortunately, each step of the way has been met with life-threatening hurdles, and Julianne has had return to a local hospital near her home in Cando, ND each day.
Julianne's blood sugar has been dropping dangerously low. Her blood pressure is not staying steady. Her eyes are retreating into her skull and cannot be uncrossed. Her face is frozen in place.
Because of the emergencies, my sister and her husband have had to stay out of work since Christmas to be with Julianne at the hospital. My parents have been watching the other kids, but my sister and her husband are starting to run out of their emergency funds and could use any help with the medical bills that you could offer.
If you cannot donate monetarily, please pray for Julianne. We are scared.
