Jake's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On the evening of May 8, Jake Marshall—a caring partner, friend, father, brother, uncle, and son—sustained severe injuries that have thus far required three major surgeries, during a camping accident in Washington meant to celebrate a great new job offer. Jake was airlifted to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Wash., where it was determined he had suffered a collapsed lung, nine broken ribs, a broken collarbone, a broken spinal vertebra, torn tendons plus a broken thumb in his dominant hand, and a 6-inch head laceration and scalp hematoma. Jake has been in the hospital for five days and is continuing to be closely monitored.

Jake and his partner, Andrea, are so thankful that Jake is alive. However, the road to recovery will be long, challenging, and take many months of difficult rehabilitation. This GoFundMe page was created to assist Jake with the cost of medical expenses related to his medevac, surgeries, hospital stay, rehabilitation, and loss of ability to work. Jake deserves the opportunity to focus solely on healing and recovering. Thank you so very much for considering donating to this GoFundMe. Jake and those who love him are endlessly grateful.
