Provide for those suffering in the Delhi slums
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Lara and I go to Methodist College Belfast.
For over 22 years Methody have supported the charity Asha, which provides food, medicines, care, comfort, hygiene advice and support to the poor residents of the Delhi slums who would otherwise be left to fend for themselves. This proactive response has saved many lives over the years.
This connection allows pupils in 6th Form at Methody to travel to Delhi for two weeks to help the children in the slums through Sports and Games, Arts and Crafts, and English and Maths lessons.
As such, I am travelling to Delhi along with 15 other pupils and 4 teachers in October for two weeks. Money raised by the charity helps provide education, computers, books, medication, financial inclusion and employment not only for the children but adults and elderly too.
We each fund our own trip however we are expected to raise a minimum of £500 each to give to the charity and this is what this fundraiser is for. Over the next few months we will all be taking part in other fundraisers and group activities to help raise as much money as we can to help those in need.
Any donations or shares would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
