Medical & End of Life Expenses and Bucket List

Donation protected
My name is Brian Cellery. I'm 39 with a wife, 2 young boys, 2 old cats, and a new puppy. I live in Rensselaer, NY. I work for New York State...I’ve had cancer my whole life, Retinoblastoma at 1 and 6 years old, lost my right eye and horrible vision in the left that has only grown worse as the years have gone by, so I'm legally blind, can't drive, no depth perception and very little peripheral vision.

I luckily had no new cancer grow for about 20 years (in that time I dealt with several other minor-moderate medical issues that I dealt with/still deal with) like vision issues, chronic pain in several places, nerve and muscle issues, etc...

In 2011 the first of what would be many Leiomyosarcomas (LMS) started popping up. This is due to the genetics of retinoblastoma (RB) and the TONS of radiation they used to treat it in the 80s-90s. So from there, I’ve had LMS which became Stage 4 LMS when it spread to my lungs, other leg muscles/tissue, back muscles, and a few other places…Those have been treated with surgeries, radiation, and chemo over the past 6+ years (more often lately). It has now been confirmed that the LMS has spread to my kidneys, liver, adrenal gland, paraspinal muscle, left oblique muscle, and lower left lung.

My medical status has now been updated to Terminal Stage 4 LMS. I’ve been given 2-5 years......

if cancer responds well to the new more aggressive chemo I started, then I'm hopefully looking at the 5 years range, if it doesn’t respond I’m likely looking at the 2 year range.

*So I'm updating this portion per several recommendations because I honestly have no clue what I'm doing here.

I set this up for several reasons. First is for financial. I'm a Terminal Stage 4 Cancer Patient, so I'm not exactly getting life insurance for my family in a cost-effective fashion, so I want to make sure I can cover/take care of as much as I can before I'm gone so my wife and kids don't have to. This means planning and paying for my funeral/memorial, cremation/burial, and obituary along with paying off any/all debt we have so it's not left behind.

The second reason is I also have regular medical bills to pay for. Chemotherapy is fully covered, but I still need to cover office visits, scans, blood work, biopsies, surgeries, etc. I also need to pay for medications and other things to deal with the chemotherapy side effects.

The third is the "Bucket List". There are a lot of things I want to do/see/experience with the time I have left and I frankly don't have the money to do that so donations here will allow me to do things with my friends and family I otherwise wouldn't be able to do before I go.
