Bunk beds for Tony and his brothers

Hello!  My name is Stephanie and I am the Program Director for the Starbird Youth Center, Community United.  We are a non-profit that serves at-risk, low-income youth in San Jose, Ca.  I started along the path of helping these boys when they were falling asleep during our Literacy Program.  I found out one of our boys was sleeping on the floor, thus falling asleep and not able to give his full attention to study.  NEST Bedding has been kind enough to donate 6 new matresses for the 6 boys.  When I started talking to the boys I realized that just handing them matresses wasn't enough.  They need a place to put the matresses.  There are 4 of the boys in one room and with 2 bunk beds along with some other things like bedding and pillows, they will be able to get enough sleep at night so they are no longer falling asleep during the day.  I beleive this will be a major game changer and we can continue with their literacy education.  I appreciate your time, these boys are really amazing.  All of the funds raised will go directly to these boys.
