Each year the Ward County Sheriff's Department honors breast cancer awareness month in October.  This year Deputy Powers and Lieutenant Olson have decided to help the Ward County Sheriff's Department by raising money for this cause.  Deputy Powers has agreed to shave her head in honor of all of those who have fought breast cancer, continue to fight breast cancer and for the ones who have lost the fight to breast cancer. Although we couldn't get Lt. Olson to shave her head, we figured a pixie cut will do. The Ward County Sheriff's Department is trying to reach a goal of $5,000.00 by the end of October.
100% of the funds will be donated to our local cancer center.
