My name is Corey Chaney and I am one of the new assistant coaches on staff at Wesleyan Christian School in Bartlesville, OK.
My primary role this year will be Secondary and Receiving core, but I also specialize in areas such as managing, administrative organization, operations, and basic sports medicine (Off the field) - and Offense (Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Receivers) Defense (Secondary, Linebackers, Ends) and Special Teams (On the field).
I graduated from WCS in 2015 and took pride in being a Mustang. I love everything about the sport of Football and now as the game is changing and getting faster, one factor remains constant - The Oklahoma Heat and Humidity. It’s been a brutal offseason with the amount of rain and heat we have received. With season just around the corner, our boys will need to get acclimated to these conditions quickly as we have a loaded schedule and a short amount of time to prepare.
As some of you may know, sponsorships are not necessarily easy to achieve especially at the High School Club level. With season approaching, we don’t have time submit applications for review, especially with the high chance of being denied. My heart and vision this year is to implement an advanced Nutrition and Hydration system for our program. With your donation, you can be 100% certain that your money will go directly towards an abundance of items that are scientifically tailored to make athletes perform in the condition we will face- ultimately contributing to the success in our season.
I will be using these funds to build a Hydration Station that will:
-Be live and active at every practice and game
- Allow players to come in and fuel throughout the day
- Provide Fuel and Recovery for Pre and Post Activity
- Teach Players about the importance of staying hydrated and putting the correct nutrients into their bodies in order to perform at their best
- Allow myself and staff to work with trainers who will assist players throughout the season with needs
- Give the players a Pre-Game Snack for every game day
I’ve been to many Division 1 and Division 2 College Athletic Facilities that house these “Fueling Stations” and have received direct insight from trainers and specialized staff in nutrition which allows me access to the knowledge subject and the importance of implementing it into our program.
Please consider donating and supporting our team this year! A project like this takes someone who cares and is willing to oversee the operation at all times. I am that person and that coach. I am committed to making this the standard for WCS for many years to come. I will continue to update you guys and provide any additional info you may need.
God Bless and Go Mustangs,
Coach Corey Chaney
