We are W!cked! A hip hop dance crew from Suffolk University located in the heart of downtown Boston.
Every year we go to an amazing dance convention hosted by the Monsters of Hip Hop company. Monsters Dance Conventions are all hip hop events offering instruction from industry professionals. This two-day event includes dance workshops instructed by a world renowned faculty of choreographers, plus auditions for thousands of dollars in scholarships, seminars, performance opportunities, freestyle battles, and much more!
This year we are planning to go to the convention in Washington DC in February 2017! Usually we are able to go to a much closer convention but it was too early in the school year to plan for the closer convention. The financial committee at Suffolk University was only able to support about half of the funding we need but in order to get the entire team to and from this event we need some help.
This trip is one that we all look forward to and are excited to share with our new members. It is always a weekend that allows us to challenge oursleves both mentally and physically, individually and as a group; it allows us to grow as dancers and also as a team. We really look forward to the team bonding this weekend always creates but also the immense amount of fun and dancing!
Any donation is a helpful donation and we would be so thankful to have people contribute and help us reach our goal so that we can enjoy such a great weekend as a team!
