On May 23rd, 2018 Katelyn Gillispie Davis lost her battle with cancer after more than a year. Katelyn was just 9 years old.
The purpose of this fundraiser will be to provide Katelyn Davis with a proper headstone as a lasting remembrance of her remarkable, yet all to short life.
Katelyn was born on March 18, 2009, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She attended Van Alstyne Elementary, Van Alstyne, Texas. She enjoyed living on the farm, playing with the farm animals and never lost her smile during a rough year of chemotherapy and radiation. She loved riding around in her Jeep and playing with her brothers and sisters.
Katelyn Davis is survived by her adoptive parents, Bobby Davis and Fred Brown; biological parents, Courtney Gillispie of Stringtown, Texas and Talmadge Davis of Van Alstyne, Texas. Katelyn is also survived by her siblings, Shayne, Haeli, Kamirah, Bobby II, Ashton, Patricia, Trenton, Alexander, and Rose Davis.
