Help Shanti's pay for her surgery
Donation protected
Our dear friend Shanti recently faced a devastating injury that’s left her in serious pain, unable to walk, and in urgent need of surgery.
Shanti has been living in Australia for a few years and, despite countless visa hurdles, she’s remained determined and optimistic. Born in England to French parents, she’s had to jump through endless bureaucratic hoops just to prove her UK citizenship and stay in the country.. After finally sorting her status out, she decided to join her first soccer training session—something she’d been looking forward to for a long time.
Tragically, she had a bad fall and tore her ACL. She was taken to Tweed Hospital, where she was told she needed surgery, but because she’s not currently a UK resident, she’s not covered under Medicare. This means she’s now facing a $10,000 out-of-pocket cost for surgery just to be able to walk again.
Shanti is here in Australia without family support, and right now she’s in a lot of pain, unable to afford the surgery she urgently needs. We want to rally around her and take some of the weight off her shoulders.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference.
If you can, please help us get Shanti back on her feet (literally). And if you can’t donate, a share would mean the world.
Thank you so much.
