WCHB Boxing Healesville help a ring and equipment

Hello my name is Christopher Hume I run a free community boxing program from WCHB Boxing Healesville and hold space for the youth and community in the Yarra Valley and the Eastern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne. We have been going now for 4 years in this space. we have competed in the Masters Boxing Victoria Division (MBV) where we have had a very good outcome Winning a number of bouts (fights) and taking the Win and winning the Victorian light heavyweight Start Title. also fighting on the most recent Battle on the Border in NSW unfortunately we didn't come home with the W. I was the Winner of the 2024 NAIDOC Sports person of the year I also come runners up at the Australian Indigenous Sports Person of the year 2025 it has been a fantastic journey alongside the community. We are looking forward to having 2 of our youth taking to the ring towards the end of this year for their first bouts as boxes these boys have been in the boxing gym working hard on the skills and techniques needed in these sport it takes time and a lot of hard work. We currently training in a 2 car garage that has been turned it to a boxing gym that I set up out of my own pocket at the time and I just can't seem to be able to gain enough to upgrade for the gyms equipment and space so we are looking for some support to keep this great thing going and give the community and youth the time and space they need to keep healthy fit and competitive in the sport of boxing.
