Help with Jen’s Brain Tumor Treatment

Story

Jen was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor with a multitude of debilitating symptoms that greatly impact her ability function day to day. To make matters worse, she then fell down a flight of 16 steps, hit her head at the bottom, and was unconscious and not breathing. CPR was performed and she was med-evac by helicopter to a trauma 1 hospital where she developed seizures. After being discharged from the hospital, Jen suffered an additional trauma to the head, complicating matters even further.   Despite these obstacles, Jen pushes forward attempting to balance her health, career, family life, and mounting medical bills and affiliated daily care expenses.   Jen has given back to so many: whether advocating for military families with special needs with EFMP for the past 12 years, mentoring airmen with the Air Force Resiliency Program, or as an amazing friend, always with a cheerful smile. Now it’s our turn to support her through this difficult time.   Jen is scheduled ASAP for brain surgery at John Hopkins. Unfortunately, she is responsible for a very hefty portion of the bill, even with insurance. Donations will assist with Jen’s surgery costs, medical bills, $45,000 med-evac bill, follow up expenses, recovery, transportation costs, and many short and long term associated care needs. Please also share this GoFundMe with your family, friends, colleagues, organizations, and church groups. Thank you.For those who don't know me, Hello, I'm Sam (Samantha), one of Jen's best friends! I created this page to support Jen in this difficult time. I want to let everyone know I am not tied to any donations made. All funds will be directly sent to Jen's Bank account. I say this for full transparency so you know exactly where your donation is going.    Tax Disclaimer (intended for the protection of the recipient and does not impact the donor’s tax status): Any donations to this page are considered a “gift” to the recipient. No goods or services will be exchanged now or in the future between the donor and recipient.
