I'd like to kindly ask you make a donation to WCDS (women's cancer detection society) which is based within the QE Gateshead.

I owe a lot to the QE breast department for all the expert treatment I have received and for having the best breast care nurse Rachel Lockerbie and the greatest surgeon of all time Mr Milligan look after me.

I was very fortunate to have the lovely Mr Milligan carry out my mastectomy with reconstruction.

I received a pioneering operation that only he can do in the North East. The endoscopic nipple sparing technique has only been done once before making me the second person to have this.

The WCDS organisation funds this new procedure and helps to buy new equipment used in surgery.

We are very lucky to have this treatment available on our doorstep and this will help lots more people in the North East.
